The process begins with creating a metal alloy—usually a mix of copper and tin. This alloy is melted and poured into molds to form the bowl shape. After initial shaping, the bowl undergoes an intensive hand-hammering process to refine its form and achieve the right thickness and tone quality.
Skilled artisans meticulously tune the bowl to produce a deep and harmonious sound. Once the shaping is complete, the surface is polished and etched with traditional Buddhist or Hindu symbols, enhancing both its aesthetic and spiritual value.
