What is a Singing Bowl?

Singing bowls, also known as Himalayan bowls, are widely used in yoga, music therapy, sound healing, and religious ceremonies. In Buddhist traditions, they mark the beginning and end of meditation sessions. These bowls produce pure, resonant tones, similar to sine waves, creating a calming and harmonious effect. The sound is generated by striking the bowl with a wooden mallet or running the mallet around the rim with gentle pressure, making the bowl “sing”—hence the name.

Request a Sound Check

We personally inspect each singing bowl to ensure its quality and resonance. If you’d like to hear the sound before purchase, we offer a sound check service for a nominal fee of $2. This non-refundable deposit will be deducted from your final invoice. Please note that the sound may vary slightly due to microphone and speaker limitations. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us via WhatsApp at +9779841614206.

Mandala: The Spiritual Significance

This singing bowl features an exquisite Mandala design, inspired by the sacred art of Mandala Thangka painting. In Buddhism, Mandalas are intricate geometric patterns that symbolize the universe, guiding practitioners towards enlightenment, inner peace, and spiritual balance. Traditionally hand-painted on cotton or silk, Mandalas serve as powerful meditation tools, fostering mindfulness and deeper self-awareness.

Making Process of Hand-Beaten Singing Bowls

Our handmade bronze singing bowls are crafted using a time-honored tradition that involves:

  1. Creating a high-quality metal alloy (copper and tin).
  2. Melting and molding the metal into the desired shape.
  3. Hammering and refining the structure to achieve perfect thickness and tone.
  4. Polishing the bowl to enhance its appearance.
  5. Adorning the bowl with intricate engravings and sacred symbols, often inspired by Buddhist and Hindu traditions.

Each bowl is handcrafted with precision, ensuring exceptional resonance and aesthetic appeal.

Exquisite Etching & Carving

This Jambati Singing Bowl features high-quality fine carving and etching. Unlike standard etching, which often has thicker lines, this design has been crafted by a skilled Thangka artist, ensuring intricate, crisp, and well-detailed patterns. The refined artwork enhances the spiritual and artistic value of the bowl, making it a truly unique piece.
