What is a Singing Bowl?
Singing bowls, also known as Himalayan bowls, are widely used in yoga, sound healing, music therapy, and Buddhist rituals. In Buddhist tradition, they mark the beginning and end of meditation cycles. These bowls produce pure, bell-like tones, creating a calming resonance. Striking the bowl with a mallet generates a rich tone, while circling the mallet around the rim creates a continuous singing sound, from which the bowl gets its name.
