☛ Padmasambhava: The Lotus-Born Master
Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, was a revered 8th-century sage who is credited with bringing Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet and Bhutan. Meaning “The Lotus-Born,” he is regarded by followers of the Nyingma school as the Second Buddha, a figure of immense wisdom, mystical power, and spiritual insight.
Padmasambhava famously said:
“My father is intrinsic awareness, Samantabhadra. My mother is the ultimate sphere of reality, Samantabhadri… I consume concepts of duality as my diet. I act in the way of the Buddhas of the three times.”
This statue captures the deep mystical symbolism and enlightened presence of Padmasambhava, honoring his role as the bringer of dharma and destroyer of ignorance.
☛ Sacred Gold-Painted Face
The gold-painted face of this statue accentuates the expressive eyes and serene lips—features that convey the enlightened presence of the Guru.
More than just decoration, this traditional painting process is a spiritual practice, performed with reverence to imbue the statue with life and sanctity. It signifies the sacred transformation from artwork to a living symbol for devotion and meditation.
☛ Traditional Full Fire Gold Plating
This statue is fully fire gold plated, also known as mercury gold plating—a revered and traditional method used in Nepal. Unlike electroplating, fire gold plating provides a rich, authentic, and long-lasting golden sheen.
This technique is prized for its cultural authenticity, visual opulence, and spiritual depth, making the statue a genuine representation of Nepali craftsmanship and sacred artistry.
☛ Crafted with the Lost-Wax Casting Technique
Created using the ancient lost-wax method, this statue is a product of master-level artistry and intricate precision. A detailed wax model is first sculpted, coated with ceramic, and then replaced with molten metal to form the final cast.
The result is a flawlessly detailed and durable sculpture, capturing the essence of the original model in enduring metal form—a timeless spiritual treasure.
