About Indra
Indra is the King of the Devas (demi-gods) and the Lord of Heaven in Hindu mythology. Revered as the God of War, Storms, and Rainfall, Indra is a powerful figure in the Rigveda, where he is praised for heroic feats like slaying the demon Vṛtra, releasing the dawn (Ushas), and shaping the heavens. A divine warrior with human traits, Indra embodies strength, courage, and at times, the complexities of desire and consequence.
Known as Vṛtrahan (slayer of Vṛtra) and Maghavan (the bountiful), his myth spans across Hinduism, Buddhism, and even Zoroastrianism, making him a figure of vast cultural and symbolic significance.

Antique Patina with Black Oxidized Finish
This statue is finished with a carefully applied antique patina and black oxidized detailing, giving it the appearance of an aged, time-worn artifact. While not an actual antique, the artisan has masterfully recreated the look of historical depth using traditional techniques—making it a perfect addition for collectors or sacred spaces.

Made Using the Lost-Wax Casting Method
Crafted with the lost-wax technique (investment casting), this piece reflects exceptional detail and artistry. A wax model is hand-sculpted, coated in ceramic, then melted out and replaced with molten copper. Once the ceramic shell is removed, it reveals the final intricate metal form—a result of ancient techniques passed down through generations of Nepali artisans.

Celebrate the legacy of Indra—King of the Devas and Lord of Thunder—with this exquisite handmade statue. A unique spiritual and cultural centerpiece, perfect for display or devotional practice.
