Introduction to the Jambati Singing Bowl
The Jambati Singing Bowl is one of the most traditional and powerful forms of singing bowls, with historical roots dating back to the 18th century. Originally used by Buddhist communities for practical purposes such as storing grains, these bowls are now prized for their deep, grounding sound qualities.

This bowl is completely hand-beaten, shaped in a distinct U-curved form with a thick rim, and capable of producing long, low-frequency tones. It is ideal for sound therapy, chakra alignment, meditation, and vibrational healing practices.

Exceptional Etching and Carving
What sets this particular Jambati bowl apart is the quality of its detailed carvings. Unlike standard bowls that often feature thick, less refined lines, this piece has been etched by a skilled Thangka painting artist. The result is fine, delicate, and well-balanced artwork that adds both aesthetic and spiritual value.

Traditional Hand-Beaten Craftsmanship
Each bowl is created using ancient techniques handed down through generations. It begins with melting a seven-metal bronze alloy—typically a combination of copper and tin. The molten metal is cast into a rough shape and then hand-hammered and shaped to refine the bowl’s form and tone.

This handcrafted process ensures a deep, resonant sound with excellent vibration and sustain. The finished piece is then polished and optionally engraved with symbolic or spiritual artwork aligned with Buddhist or Hindu traditions.

Antique-Inspired Sound & Design
While this is a newly made piece, its design and acoustic properties are inspired by antique Tibetan singing bowls. Our craftsmen in Kathmandu have studied authentic antique bowls and emulate their shape, weight, and tonal quality—offering you a bowl that feels ancient, sounds exceptional, and sings beautifully.
