Introduction to the Jambati Singing Bowl
The Jambati Singing Bowl is a classic and powerful sound healing instrument originating from the 18th century. Originally used by Buddhist practitioners for daily functions like storing grains, this bowl is now valued for its deep, resonant tones.
This piece is entirely hand-beaten, crafted in a U-shaped design with a thick rim, known for producing rich, grounding vibrations. Ideal for chakra balancing, sound therapy, meditation, and energy cleansing, the bowl’s heavy build contributes to its long-lasting sound quality.
High-Detail Carving by Thangka Artist
Unlike regular carved singing bowls that feature thicker lines, this bowl is etched and detailed by a trained Thangka artist, resulting in fine, intricate carvings. The precision and artistry bring a sacred and aesthetic value, elevating the bowl from a healing tool to a collector’s item.
What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG)
We ensure full authenticity with our WYSIWYG policy — the bowl you see in the product photos and videos is the exact item you’ll receive. Once sold, associated media is removed to avoid confusion and preserve transparency.

Crafting Process – Traditional Hand-Beaten Technique
Each bowl is made using centuries-old techniques. It begins with the preparation of a seven-metal alloy, traditionally including copper and tin. The molten metal is shaped into a bowl and then painstakingly hammered and refined by hand to perfect the tone, thickness, and shape.
Once formed, the bowl is polished and may be engraved with spiritual motifs and sacred symbols from Buddhist or Hindu traditions, making each piece unique and meaningful.
Inspired by Antique Tibetan Bowls
Though newly made, this bowl follows the design and tonal depth of antique Tibetan singing bowls. Our workshop in Kathmandu draws inspiration from rare antique specimens, incorporating subtle signs of aging and finish while ensuring superior sound quality and resonance.
