About the Buddha

Lost-Wax Casting Method
Crafted using the lost-wax casting method—an age-old sculpting technique—this statue reflects exceptional detail and craftsmanship. Each sculpture begins as a finely carved wax model. It is then layered with ceramic to form a mold, which is fired to eliminate the wax and allow molten brass to be poured in. Once cooled and solidified, the ceramic mold is carefully removed, revealing a precise brass replica. This technique ensures each statue is one-of-a-kind, bearing the imprint of skilled hands and generations of tradition.
Chocolate Oxidized Finish
This statue is completed with a chocolate-colored antique patina, created through a controlled oxidation process. Unlike a painted surface, this finish penetrates the brass, developing rich, warm tones that simulate the appearance of a centuries-old statue. The oxidation technique not only gives the Buddha a timeless, aged appearance but also serves as a protective layer, enhancing the statue’s durability and preserving its visual depth over time.
