Introduction to Lingam Singing Bowls

Lingam Singing Bowls are among the rarest and most sacred Himalayan singing bowls, distinguished by a raised lingam (a small conical protrusion) at the center of the inner base. These bowls symbolize masculine energy and spiritual power, dating back to the 16th century.

Handcrafted with smooth sides and an inward-curving lip, Lingam bowls produce intense, long-lasting resonant tones, making them highly sought after for meditation, rituals, and deep spiritual practices. Due to their unique acoustic and aesthetic appeal, they are increasingly difficult to find.

Request a Sound Check

Each Lingam Singing Bowl is carefully tested for its sound quality and resonance. If you’d like to hear the sound before purchasing, we offer a sound check service for $2, which will be deducted from your invoice upon purchase.

Please note that due to microphone and speaker limitations, the recorded sound may not fully capture its true resonance.

Included Accessories

Your Lingam Singing Bowl purchase includes:
✅ A cushion
✅ A wooden playing mallet
✅ A felt-hitting mallet

Additional accessories are available for purchase if needed.

Hand-Beaten Singing Bowl Craftsmanship

Each handmade bronze singing bowl undergoes a meticulous process:
1️⃣ Metal Alloy Creation – Copper and tin are melted together to form a strong and resonant alloy.
2️⃣ Molding & Shaping – The molten metal is poured into a mold and shaped into a bowl.
3️⃣ Hand-Hammering – Skilled artisans hammer and refine the bowl’s shape, ensuring a perfect balance for optimal sound quality.
4️⃣ Polishing & Detailing – The bowl is polished to a high shine and may feature intricate Buddhist or Hindu engravings.

About the Etching & Carving

This Lingam Singing Bowl features exceptional-quality etching and carving, distinct from regular etched bowls. Instead of thicker brush strokes, we commissioned a fine Thangka artist to create detailed, delicate engravings. This results in sharper, more refined lines that enhance the bowl’s beauty and sacred significance.
