About Vajrayogini
Vajrayogini, meaning “the diamond female yogi,” is a revered deity in Vajrayana Buddhism, classified under Highest Yoga Tantra. She is both a female Buddha and a powerful Yidam (meditational deity), whose practice guides practitioners through the transformation of ordinary experiences—such as death, rebirth, and daily life—into paths to enlightenment.
Often visualized in various forms depending on the sādhanā, Vajrayogini is also known by alternate manifestations such as Vajravārāhī and Krodikali. Despite her fierce appearance, she is a symbol of profound wisdom and ultimate realization, embodying the union of great bliss and emptiness.
