Yellow Jambhala: Brief Introduction
Yellow Jambhala (also known as Dzambhala, Dzambala, Zambala, or Jambala) is revered as the God of Wealth and a member of the Jewel Family. Often equated with the Hindu deity Kubera, he is considered an emanation of Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig), the Bodhisattva of Compassion. Buddhist tradition recognizes five wealth Jambhalas, each with unique practices and mantras for eliminating poverty and creating financial stability.
Gyalten Sogdzin Rinpoche describes Jambhala as the protector of all lineages and all beings from sickness and difficulties, bestowing both material and spiritual prosperity. His wrathful form serves to guard against negative forces, harmful spirits, and obstacles, while fostering good fortune, happiness, and success.

Gold Painted Face
The statue’s face is hand-painted with gold to highlight the eyes, lips, and other expressive features that carving alone cannot fully capture. In Buddhist practice, this act is a sacred ritual symbolizing the awakening of the statue’s spiritual presence. The gold-painted face embodies vitality, devotion, and precision, enhancing both the artistry and the sacred purpose of the piece.

Full Fire Gold Plating
Finished with traditional full fire (mercury) gold plating, this statue carries the rich authenticity of Nepalese craftsmanship. Unlike modern electroplating, mercury gold plating applies a genuine layer of gold that offers exceptional durability and an unmatched luster. Though more costly, this method is valued for its cultural heritage, beauty, and enduring quality, reflecting the deep traditions of Nepalese metalwork.

Lost-Wax System
This piece is crafted using the time-honored lost-wax casting method. Artisans begin by shaping a detailed wax model, which is then coated in multiple layers of ceramic material to form a mold. Once cured, the wax is melted out, leaving a precise cavity into which molten copper is poured. After cooling, the ceramic mold is removed to reveal a highly detailed sculpture, faithfully preserving the craftsmanship of the original wax design.
