About Yellow Jambhala
Yellow Jambhala, also known as Dzambhala, Zambala, or Jambala, is the Buddhist God of Wealth and Prosperity. Revered in many Vajrayana lineages, he is associated with Ratnasambhava’s Jewel Family, and is often regarded as an emanation of Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara), the Bodhisattva of Compassion.
Yellow Jambhala is believed to bring both material and spiritual wealth, offering protection against poverty, misfortune, and spiritual obstacles. While he is benevolent, his wrathful appearance symbolizes his power to overcome negativity, harmful spirits, and karma that obstruct well-being. According to Gyalten Sogdzin Rinpoche, Yellow Jambhala is the protector of all lineages and sentient beings, guiding them toward abundance and stability.
There are five forms of Jambhala, each with specific mantras and practices. Yellow Jambhala, in particular, is widely invoked for financial stability and the removal of poverty.
Chocolate Oxidized Patina
This Yellow Jambhala statue features a chocolate-colored antique patina, achieved through a controlled artificial oxidation process. Unlike a surface-level paint application, this finish penetrates the metal, enhancing both aesthetic richness and durability.
Designed to resemble a centuries-old aged copper statue, the patina gives the sculpture an authentic, vintage character. It also serves a protective function, preventing natural oxidation and ensuring the statue retains its beauty over time.
Antique Finishing
Please note that this is a modern statue with an antique finish, not a historical artifact. The antique patina has been carefully crafted by skilled artisans to simulate the look and feel of a time-worn relic. Through special aging techniques and surface treatments, the statue gains a distinguished appearance that reflects both craftsmanship and tradition.
Ceramic Molding System
The statue has been crafted using the ceramic mold casting process, a modern alternative to traditional lost-wax or rubber mold methods. This advanced technique allows for high precision and detail.
A wax model of the sculpture is first created, then coated with multiple layers of ceramic material. After being kiln-fired, the wax melts out, leaving a hollow ceramic mold. Molten copper is poured in, and once it cools, the ceramic mold is broken to reveal the finished statue. This method results in sharp details, structural strength, and a flawless finish.
