What is a Singing Bowl?
Singing bowls, also known as Himalayan bowls, are widely used in yoga, music therapy, sound healing, and Buddhist ceremonies. In Buddhist tradition, they mark the beginning and end of meditation sessions.
These bowls produce pure, resonant tones similar to sine waves, creating a calming and meditative atmosphere. The sound is produced by either striking the bowl with a wooden mallet or gently running the mallet along its rim. Once the resonance builds, the bowl is said to “sing”—hence the name singing bowl.

Crafting a handmade bronze singing bowl is a time-honored tradition passed down for generations. The process begins with creating a metal alloy—typically a blend of copper and tin—which is melted and poured into a mold. The raw form is then hammered and shaped by skilled artisans to achieve the perfect resonance.
Each bowl undergoes multiple stages of hammering, shaping, and refining to balance its thickness and sound quality. The final piece is polished to a high shine and often decorated with sacred symbols and intricate designs that hold significance in Buddhist and Hindu traditions.
Fine Etching & Intricate Carving
This Sun and Moon Design Singing Bowl features high-quality etching and fine carving. Unlike standard etchings that use thicker brush strokes, we collaborated with a skilled Thangka artist to create finer, more detailed linework.
This level of craftsmanship enhances both the artistic and spiritual value of the bowl, making it a unique and meaningful piece for meditation, rituals, or personal collections.
